Clod Ensemble
THE COMPANY
Clod Ensemble will be holding an Artist Talk at Laban on Friday 3 February
Clod Ensemble has been making work that crosses the boundaries between dance, theatre and visual art for over a decade, led by award-winning collaborators Suzy Willson and Paul Clark. Recent productions include An Anatomie in Four Quarters (Sadler’s Wells, 2011); Under Glass which takes place in a series of glass containers (Commissioned by Sadler’s Wells, 2008, Winner of the Total Theatre Award for Visual/Physical Theatre in 2009), Red Ladies a chorus piece for 18 identically dressed women ( Trafalgar Square for British Architecture Week, 2005 ICA and Serralves Musuem 2008) and MUST a collaboration with legendary New York performer Peggy Shaw (Wellcome Collection, Soho Theatre, Public Theatre New York 2007 -2011)
We also create projects and curate work in places where art does not usually or regularly take place. The ground-breaking Performing Medicine programme uses the arts to help medical students and doctors gain skills relevant to their clinical practice (Winner of the Times Higher Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts, 2007).
All of Clod Ensemble’s performance work is produced in association with Fuel.
